Tried @sushi_raku_hk the other day, had the set for 308 HKD. Another standing sushiya which is becoming more popular in HK obviously due to high rent prices.
Overall I do recommend and will go back again. Wasn't expecting too much, but when I tried I was impressed, the execution was pretty well done.
🔸Shari wasn't stone cold that I feared it would be.
🔸Nigiri was formed well, note the fish cuts here are actually huge (I have a huge mouth and just fits in one bite) and even with chopsticks flipping the sushi around it still didn't shatter yet it was not pressed too much that it felt like a rock on the palate, and kept that nice fan shape. Not to mention chef did it under 5 hands of pressing.
🔸 Ingredients were generally good, not feeling that daily plane delivered goodness but I wasn't expecting it anyway, only downside was the Uni that day wasn't good, it was bitter so some disappointment there. Uni lovers, queen's and kings would not be happy.
Taste:😋😋😋(+😋 if it wasn't for that Uni)
Environment:😋😋😋(do note it's a standing only setting)
